Whether you’re after a partial or fully enclosed horse riding arena, we know that you will have specific needs.
We know that the arena must be designed according to need, whether you’re just training or preparing for a professional competition, into dressage or jumping – the minimum size requirements and other build factors will change. The horse’s ability may also be a factor, if you’re looking for a round yard for starting horses or a space that’s more adaptable because space is limited. That’s where we come in.
Our riding arenas are also designed knowing that they may be part of a larger structure – see our horse stables as an example. Lean-tos can create a stable to the side, horse wash bays or a viewing area. The choice is yours. You can also select a range of quality inclusions where and when you need them – ZAM® steel for high corrosion resistance in ‘wet’ areas, COLORBOND® steel for durability and other options.
Let’s take a look at what you need.

FAQs about building riding arenas
Do you need planning permission to build a riding arena?
Yes. Most of the time, you'll need to get a thumbs up from your local council for any permanent equestrian structures, including riding arenas. Always good to double-check with your local council.
What size are riding arenas?
We get that one size doesn't fit all. So, we offer riding arenas in custom sizes. Small training space or a large competition arena, you name it, we can do it!
How much does it cost to build a riding arena?
Costs can vary a lot. It all depends on the size, materials, and any custom features you're after. But don't worry, we're happy to give you a quote based on what you need.
